Drivers in Kota Kinabalu have been urged to settle their outstanding traffic summonses at a discounted rate, with the district police offering up to 30% off selected fines.

The discount applies only to summonses issued within Kota Kinabalu and excludes cases involving court mentions, OP Selamat violations, major offences committed by heavy vehicles, illegal exhaust modifications, and non-compoundable traffic offences.

Payments can be made at the Kota Kinabalu District Police Headquarters’ (IPD) Traffic Counter from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, excluding weekends and public holidays.

“Kota Kinabalu residents should take advantage of this offer to clear outstanding fines and ease their financial burden,” said Kota Kinabalu police chief ACP Kasim Muda on Wednesday.
