Police raided an illegal diesel storage facility in Kolombong, seizing 93,100 litres of subsidised fuel and detaining 10 men suspected of running the operation.
Marine Police Force Sabah Region Four, led by Asst Comm Nazri Ibrahim, conducted the raid at Jalan Kolombong, Lorong Terap 4, Inanam, around 3.40pm on Sunday (Jan 26).
The seized items, including the diesel and several vehicles, are valued at RM1.4 million.

According to ACP Nazri, officers caught the suspects transferring diesel from various vehicles into large storage tanks.
The operation, he said, involved transferring the fuel into tanks before it was loaded onto a lorry tanker for further distribution.
“Our investigations indicate that the premises were being used as a storage facility for subsidised diesel. The suspects were unable to produce valid permits or documentation for the possession and distribution of the fuel,” he said in Kota Kinabalu on Tuesday.
The 10 men, aged between 27 and 62, were taken into custody for further questioning.
Police have handed over the case, including the suspects and seized goods, to the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living for action under the Supply Control Act 1961.
ACP Nazri called on the public to report illegal fuel activities, emphasizing the need to protect government subsidies from exploitation. – January 28, 2025.
