Warisan’s legal adviser, Chin Teck Ming, has lodged a police report over allegedly defamatory social media posts targeting him.

Chin, who also represents a client in Sabah’s controversial mineral prospecting case, said edited photos of him with a woman were circulated online, accompanied by false claims about his personal life and accusations against him.

“These postings were shared by users I do not know,” he said after filing a report at the Tanjung Aru police station.

He believed the attack could be linked to his legal work and urged the police to investigate, while calling on the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to act against misinformation. – February 14, 2025
