The Sabah governor’s appointment praised as timely and crucial for progress.

Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor has lauded Tun Musa Aman’s leadership, saying his tenure as the state’s longest-serving Chief Minister offers valuable lessons for Sabah’s future.

“Tun Musa’s appointment as governor is both timely and fitting,” Hajiji said at a banquet held in Kota Kinabalu on Tuesday.

“His years of service and contributions to Sabah are unmatched.”

Musa, who served as Chief Minister for 15 years, was described by Hajiji as a leader who laid a solid foundation for the state’s development.

“I am confident his leadership will take Sabah to greater heights,” Hajiji added.

The chief minister credited Musa for promoting unity and harmony, calling it essential for Sabah’s growth.

“As Malaysia’s second-largest state, Sabah has tremendous potential with its rich resources and cultural diversity,” he said.

Hajiji also urged collective action to ensure the success of the Sabah Maju Jaya development plan.

“With challenges ahead, including global economic uncertainties, we must strengthen cooperation across all sectors,” he said.

“Together, we can secure a brighter future for our beloved state.”— January 2, 2025
