The Civil Defence Force reported that 3,929 flood victims from 1,365 households have been registered in the affected districts as at 4pm today.

They anticipated the numbers to rise further.

Kota Marudu remains the worst-hit, with 2,355 evacuees, followed by Pitas (379), Lahad Datu (316), and Beluran (177).

Other impacted districts include Beaufort (102), Telupid (243), Sandakan (118), Kota Belud (162), Tongod (54), and Paitan (23).

Authorities say the number of evacuees is increasing in several areas, particularly in Telupid, Lahad Datu, Beluran, and Pitas.
